1980s – Matthews Construction is founded in Greensburg, Louisiana, specializing in residential framing.
2009 – The company expands under new leadership and becomes A&W Matthews Construction, adding remodeling, additions, and full project builds.
2010–2022 – Growth into commercial and larger-scale projects, delivering turnkey solutions across multiple sectors.
2022 – Prestige Construction & Management is established, combining decades of experience with modern construction practices and leadership.
Our Story
With a rich history dating back to the 1980s, Prestige Construction & Management is a family-owned company deeply rooted in the construction industry. Our journey began as Matthews Construction, founded by the sons and nephews of the Matthews family in Greensburg, Louisiana. In its early years, Matthews Construction focused primarily on residential framing projects, laying the foundation for our expertise in the field.
Fast forward twenty-nine years, and Matthews Construction underwent a transformative expansion under the visionary leadership of Wayne and Adronicus. In 2009, the company was reborn as A&W Matthews Construction, marking a significant turning point. Over the next thirteen years, the company experienced remarkable growth, diversifying its portfolio to include framing, remodeling, additions, and complete turnkey solutions for a wide range of projects. Not content to limit their talents to residential ventures, A&W Matthews Construction ventured into the world of commercial projects, adding another dimension to their expertise.
In 2022, a new chapter began with the inclusion of Courtney, bringing his engineering knowledge and insights to the company. As a result, A&W Matthews Construction evolved into Prestige Construction & Management, reflecting our commitment to continuous growth and adaptation in the ever-evolving construction industry.
